By accessing and using GoVietnamPass (govietnampass.com), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Informational & Utility Purpose Only

GoVietnamPass is an independent informational travel portal. We are not an Online Travel Agency (OTA), transport carrier, telecom network operator, or tour provider. We do not issue passenger tickets, provide mobile cell service, or operate ferry vessels.

All bookings initiated through this website are executed directly with licensed third-party platforms (including 12Go.asia, Airalo, Holafly, Saily, and Viator). Any customer support inquiries regarding ticket changes, refunds, luggage allowances, or network activation failures must be addressed directly to the respective merchant of record.

2. Accuracy of Travel Information & Disclaimers

While we continuously verify schedules, prices, and visa regulations against official Vietnamese sources, travel conditions in Southeast Asia are dynamic:

  • High-speed ferry departures (such as Tran De to Con Dao) are subject to sea weather conditions and port authority safety suspensions.
  • International river borders (such as Vinh Xuong to Phnom Penh) enforce strict passport validity and visa requirements.
  • Telecom networks reserve the right to alter roaming bundles, fair-use speed policies, and retail pricing.

GoVietnamPass shall not be held liable for any missed connections, unexpected cancellations, visa rejections, or additional costs incurred during your travels. Always reconfirm departure times upon booking confirmation.

3. Intellectual Property

All original written guides, custom infographics, route tables, photography, and code on GoVietnamPass are the intellectual property of GoVietnamPass. Unauthorized automated scraping, commercial redistribution, or reproduction without written permission is prohibited.

4. Food Safety & Dietary Disclaimer

All bilingual dining cards and dietary information provided by GoVietnamPass are intended solely as linguistic and communication aids. They do not constitute certified medical advice or food safety warranties under the Law on Food Safety (Law No. 55/2010/QH12). In Vietnam, street food vendors and casual dining establishments routinely utilize shared cookware, fryers, and utensils. Travelers with severe allergies (including peanut, shellfish, or celiac conditions) are solely responsible for verifying ingredients and must carry necessary emergency prescription medications (such as epinephrine auto-injectors).

5. Road Traffic & Motorcycle Operation Compliance

Travelers operating rented motorbikes or scooters in Vietnam are legally required to comply with the Law on Road Traffic (Law No. 23/2008/QH12 and its amendments) and Ministry of Transport Circular 29/2015/TT-BGTVT. Specifically, only International Driving Permits (IDPs) issued under the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic with motorcycle endorsement are legally recognized. 1949 Geneva Convention IDPs and foreign domestic driver’s licenses are not legally valid for driving in Vietnam. Unlicensed driving carries statutory administrative fines, vehicle impoundment (Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), and full invalidation of third-party travel medical insurance. GoVietnamPass strongly advises booking licensed local drivers (Easy Riders).

6. Foreign Currency & Financial Regulations

All currency calculators, conversion tables, and cash guides on GoVietnamPass are provided for general reference and estimation purposes only. Foreign currency exchange within the territory of Vietnam is strictly regulated by the State Bank of Vietnam and Government Decree 88/2019/ND-CP. Transacting foreign currency with unlicensed entities (including unauthorized jewelry or gold shops) is illegal under Vietnamese law. Travelers should exclusively exchange currency at licensed commercial banks, authorized airport exchange booths, or withdraw directly via bank ATM networks.

7. Notice and Takedown Procedure (Decree 147/2024/ND-CP)

Pursuant to Decree 147/2024/ND-CP on the Management, Provision and Use of Internet Services and Online Information, GoVietnamPass maintains an expedited notice-and-takedown mechanism. If you are a rights holder or authorized representative and believe any content, image, or information on this site infringes intellectual property rights or contains factual inaccuracies, please submit a written notice to [email protected]. Our editorial team will review and take appropriate remedial action within 24 to 48 business hours.

8. Governing Law & Regulatory Compliance

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (including the Law on Electronic Transactions No. 20/2023/QH15, Decree 147/2024/ND-CP, the Law on Protection of Consumers’ Rights No. 19/2023/QH15, and the Law on Cybersecurity No. 24/2018/QH14) as well as applicable international electronic commerce standards.
